Saint Teresa of Jesus

I had a spiritual awakening as I listened to the story of Saint Teresa, a 14th century spiritual revolutionist, in her actual convent. She focused alot on developing a personal connection with the divine through prayer and meditation. One of her theories is that those connections come in phases that correlate with water and our ability to access that water. My revelation connects that water to the living water of Jesus Christ. Phase one is the initial connection. That connection takes place by us literally placing our bucket in the well to receive divine revelation. Phase two comes by means of a water wheel- still work but less initiative on our part. Phase three connects with us like the water in a stream. It happens on varying levels, we can touch it, wade in it or immerse ourselves in divinity. Finally the last phase is that of rain- once we have connected with the divine, we can feel it's influence constantly in our lives. I love that thought and hope that I can feel his rain daily in my life.
